Bike Safety June 7th 2025 11am to 12pm

The bike rodeo program is a hands-on ONE HOUR cycling skills workshop. It will take place on Saturday, June 7th, in the Amberwood parking lot.  On site registration will begin at 10:30, with the main event starting at 11am and running for one hour.  

There will be two City of Ottawa Cycling instructors to familiarize children with the importance of helmets, signage, bicycle maintenance, handling, and can put their knowledge to the test by driving through a mini main street!

All children participating are required to have a functioning bicycle and helmet.
•            The typical age group is 6-10 years, but older children can participate as well.  
•            This program is free of charge, as it is fully funded by Safer Roads Ottawa.

AVRA will provide volunteers, and we also require that one parent remain present to assist with the volunteer nature of this program.
